The Norwegian soprano Nina Gravrok started studying music at the Agder University in Kristiansand and continued at the National Academy of Arts in Oslo.
During her studies Nina performed the complete roles of Sandrina in La finta giardinera, Susanna in Il Segreto di Susanna, Despina in Così fan tutte and Musetta in La Bohème.
Her opera engagements include Pamina in Die Zauberflöte at Oper Köln as well as at Oper Essen, First wood sprite in Rusalka, First lady in Die Zauberflöte and Madame Lidoine in Les dialogues des Carmélites at the Norwegian National Opera, Cio Cio San in Madama Butterfly with Opera Nordfjord, Musetta in La Bohème at the Norwegian National Opera, with Bergen National Opera and with Trondheim Opera Theatre, Zerlina in Don Giovanni with Opera Island, Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi with Trondheim Opera Theatre and and the leading part in Der Schöne Tod, a pasticcio with various opera arias, with the Arctic Opera.
She is a much sought after concert singer and she has appeared with all major Norwegian orchestras; Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Kristiansand Symphony Orchestra and Bodoe Sinfonietta
She regularly works with conductors such as Rinaldo Alessandrini, Stefan Blunier, Antonio Fugliani, John Helmer Fiore, Rolf Gupta, Terje Boye Hansen, Olav Henzholt, Kjell Ingebretsen, Eivind Gullberg Jenssen, Kiril Karabits, Andrew Litton, Michael Lloyd, Kazuzhi Ono, Rudolph Phielmayer, Per Kristian Skalstad, Marc Soustrot, Markus Stenz, Peter Szilvay and Eivind Aadland.
Engagements during the past two seasons have included Elsa in Lohengrin, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Musetta in La Bohème, Antonia in Les Contes d'Hoffmann and Euridice in Gluck's Orfeo ed Euridice at the Norwegian National Opera.
Current and upcoming engagements include Lady Macbeth in Verdi's Macbeth at Theater Oldenburg, the title role in Tosca and Sieglinde in a reduced version of Die Walküre at the Norwegian National Opera, Beethoven's Missa Solemnis with Trondheim Symphony Orchestra, Haydn's Missa Sancti Nicolai in Oslo and a series of concerts throughout Norway with various arias.
